In Florida where I live pinhole leaks in copper pipes are a real problem. And it is getting worse. If you have lived in your home for more than 15 years then you will probably have a pinhole leak or have already had one. You may have to re-pipe your house. But hopefully you can repair the leak with a simple "plumber's patch." Adding a water softener may help prevent leaks
